used to try to convert a wmv to MP4 & the quality of the convert was terrible. Not recommended if you have a file you want to equal teh original in the different format

doesnt work! waste of money

Converts mov to wmv but at lower resolution that posted. Says it converted to 720x480 but more like 300x200. Bleh, crap.

Bad quality of output video

tryed to convert a .wmv file an the output file didnt work at all!!

This app cannt take ANY video formats!!!!!!! It cannt support ANY file!!!!!! DONT GET THE APP!!!

It says the name was changed, this is what I have installed but cant install the upgrade, we need to know the name to delete and the new name then we wont get the mishash, uneil then, useless.

I used this once… once i figure out how to delete it, its gone.

The app doesnt work!

Just converted a downloaded wmv files to mp4 and it played fine.

Dont know why this has such a low rating… had to use it once and it did its job perfectly, no isuses at all.

doesnt always work, picks and chooses the files it wants to convert, some work some do not.

This ap if ok, but not much better than that. It has an odd Windows-ish UI, but more importantly, the conversion quality is poor and pixelated, compared to other aps I have used. The sampling rate is very low, so the converted file size is small, but again, very low quality. There doesnt seem to be way to vary the sampling rate.

Worked great, converted from wmv to mp4 & played just fine. Best part - its free!

It might not be the prettiest app for the desktop, but who wants to spend lots of time admiring a video converter anyway? Smart Video Converter was there for me in my time of need. As a video professional on a tight budget, I went looking online for a reliable converter that would turn WMV files into something usable for Final Cut Pro X. What I found were a bunch of pricey apps that would do the trick, but, like I said, Im on a budget. The best prices to be found were on the Mac App Store. And the free — and just about the only free — option, Smart Video Converter, was more than enough for my project. In no time at all you can figure this app out. I noticed that on two exports the app hasnt completed the conversion I gave it, but these appear to be unusual. The rest of the time, as long as to setup the conversion process correctly to start, youll get a reliable conversion. Keep in mind another limitation Ive encountered: not all the formats you can convert to with deliver the same quality. For instance, I originally wanted .MOV files, but these conversions were not as good quality as .MP4.

When I click start for it to convert, it unexpectently closes……every.time. Uninstalling it now.
